SPECIAL TRIBUTE ROTATION - PART ONE
Do As Infinity: Sept 30, 1999 - Sept 29, 2005
I apologize for the delay, YSI has been horrible about uploading files for me for the past few days. Also, there will be a part two for this Special Tribute, as there are many more files I'd like to share.
Many of the following videos were taken from Do The Web or encoded for that website by ainouta. Credit for these files goes to those wonderful people. Be sure to check out DAI Forum, the largest DAI board in English.

1999.09.29 - Raven (Debut Live)
This
is the earliest video of Do As Infinity available, their first taped
live that was shown on television. You can see how nervous Ban-chan is,
how sticklike she stays, barely moving - so very unlike later lives.
Her voice breaks at one point, which I find very adorable, while the
guys just let loose. Also, this is the only known live of "Raven",
which was featured as the ending theme for the horror film Uzumaki.

PV 01 - Tangerine Dream
A
simple video started the band off, featuring all three members. They
stand around in a tiled room, with each one being spotloghted at
different points. Ban-chan looks rather different at some points,
almost not like herself when there are closeups with the flashign
lights in the background, but that is to be expected when six years
have passed.

PV 06 - Welcome!
Rather
than film an elaborate video, DAI chose to use natural clips of the
themselves at concerts, photo shoots, and just hanging out. You get to
see Ryo, Tomiko, and even Dai Nagao himself, all goofing off and having
fun. Definitely one of the best they've had, as it helps fans to get to
know the band. If you download only one video from this rotation, it
needs to be this one!

2001.06 - Week (AX Factory)
"Week"
has always been one of my favorite songs, simply because of its upbeat
style and the use of the English names for days (a cheesy reason, but
it makes the song fun to sing along with). Ban-chan sounds much like
the recording of the song, which is never the case in a concert, and it
can clearly be seen that she and Ryo are having fun and enjoying
themselves.

PV 12 - Fukai Mori
This
is the video for the DAI live posted in the first rotation (where
Ban-chan cried). It features, of course, a forest, Ryo and Ban-chan in
a large ornate ballroom, and a spinning fair ride. There is a sense of
ambiguity to the video that I think compliments the song nicely.

Gackt slides away from Do As Infinity (MusicStation clip)
I have no idea what is being said in this interview clip, but it is hilarious to watch. Ban-chan and the host talk about something and Gackt, who had been sitting in front of her, slides down the bench.

PV 18 - Shinjitsu no Uta
This is the regular version of the video for "Shinjitsu no Uta", the title track of their fourth album True Song.
The extended version features additional footage at the beginning and
end, with a voiceover of a reading of the famous french poem the song
is based around. This video is one of my favorites, as is the song,
because of it's original setting. A countryside with barren land, a
native people, the ruins of a temple, all of it beautiful in its own
way.

2004.12.04 - Rakuen (Music Fair 21)
Penned
by Ryo, "Rakuen", or Paradise, is one of DAI's slower songs. The stage
set for the live is simple but elegant, like the song itself. However,
Ban-chan doesn't seem as energetic in this video, almost like she'd
tired or just wanting to get through the performance. It makes me
wonder just how long ago they decided to disband.

PV 27 - Robot
One
of DAI's story PVs, none of the band but Ban-chan is featured, and even
then only for brief moments. The story clearly illustrates Japan's
society and how they live in the workplace. See the lyrics for a better understanding of the video.

2005 - LOVE for NANA CM Ver.1
One of DAI's final songs was "I miss you?", featured only on the LOVE for NANA ~Only 1 Tribute~ album, in honor of the manga turned live action film Nana. The song is the last featured in this commercial.

2005.06 - Need Your Love budoukan live 2005 clip
From their Need Your Love 2005 tour, this clip features "Hiiragi" and "Honjitsu wa seiten nari" from Gates of Heaven, and their final single "TAO".
